Okay, with the school year coming to an end, I started looking around for next year. I am going to implement more reading for my daughter who will be in 4th grade. Along with her reading, I wanted to find studies to go along with the books she will be reading. But, I did not want full blown studies that you find in study guides. I want her to be more independent in her work, and literature guides usually have too much teacher/parent information…if that makes sense. It would just be too hard for me or her to sift through.
Okay, so as I was searching, I decided I would forget about purchasing guides because 1. they are too expensive and my goal this year is to spend as little as possible and 2. well, what I described in the previous paragraph. So I decided I would read ahead and locate the vocabulary and design some questions to go along with the books.
