Number Line Help

Tuesday, September 29th, 2009

This time it is my daughter who needs the chart.
She is also doing Saxon 54, and she almost always misses the number line questions. So I made her a step-by-step on how to find the number on the number line.
Her basic problem was not knowing the value of the lines between two numbers. If she was presented with this problem,

she would have a hard time with what each line between 50 and 60 represent.
I made her the chart yesterday, so we will see how effective it is for her after a few lessons.
The thing is I don’t think she was figuring out the difference betweenn the two points first. She was just guessing.

Written Number Chart

Friday, September 25th, 2009

My son, who is doing Saxon 54, has to write out numbers, and unfortunately, he doesn’t know how to spell some of them, so I made up this chart for him to use as reference until they are ingrained in his mind. Maybe someone can use it also.

Moved Calendars

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

This is just a quick note to let you all know that I added some more calendars. I added September (I know a little late! ), October, November and December. I hope you can use them in some way. If anything, they are great to color and write in the numbers.
You can find them here.
Ha! It looks like I lost my header in the little cleaning up of images I was doing.
Enjoy the calendars.
Oh, I also moved the Squanto Lapbook, and updated the Apple and Pumpkin lapbooks.

Virtual House Cleaning

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

Yes, you have reached Albright News!
[I put that heading there just in case I mess up the site! ]

I am in the middle of some needed house cleaning, so please pardon the mess. Hopefully none of the downloads and such will be affected.
Basically, I am going to clean up the side bars. They look too cluttered to me! I also want to put my downloads separate from my more journalish posts. I might give them their own pages.
This will be a little work on my part, but I enjoy this type of cleaning…no dust to make me sneeze!
I am going to keep the rabbits because I have always liked rabbits and especially Peter Rabbit! I even had Peter Rabbit as crib bedding for my son! Too cute!
Okay, I am off to clean!
