Moved Calendars

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009

This is just a quick note to let you all know that I added some more calendars. I added September (I know a little late! ), October, November and December. I hope you can use them in some way. If anything, they are great to color and write in the numbers.
You can find them here.
Ha! It looks like I lost my header in the little cleaning up of images I was doing.
Enjoy the calendars.
Oh, I also moved the Squanto Lapbook, and updated the Apple and Pumpkin lapbooks.

Flag Lapbook

OUR FLAG
THE FLAG, A HISTORY:
The Flag is not only an emblem of the Country. In its own way, it is a history of the Country, and when we have learned what its symbols and colors signify, we are able to read its story just as we would the pages of history. Every part, every color, of the Flag had a world of meaning to those who arranged them as we see them. Its makers intended the Flag to tell a story to their sons and daughters down through all ages. When you have learned to read that story, it will thrill you just as it thrilled those who gave us the Flag.

Father’s Day Lapbook and Notebooking Pages

Wednesday, May 13th, 2009

This month we are turning our hearts to our Fathers. It was not an easy task finding information on Father’s Day. Unlike Mothers’ Day, I could not find any real documentation. So I had to go by various websites. The problem with that is you do not know if these websites did any research or if they are all duplications of each other, just worded differently. With that said, if you find any errors please let me know.

Mothers’ Day Lapbook & Notebooking Pages

“For all the love you’ve given me,
For all the prayers you’ve prayed,
For all the tears and all the care
The sacrifice you’ve made,
For all I am or can become,
For all in me that’s true,
I want to thank you, mother mine,
For all to you is due.”

Easter Lapbook

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

By Cynthia Albright

This month’s lapbook, we are focusing on Jesus and the events that led up to His resurrection and those following His resurrection.
I was debating whether to name this lapbook, ‘The Resurrection Lapbook,’ but decided to keep it with Easter only because it entails the whole story and not just His resurrection.
I found a nice public domain text that was written to children telling the story of Easter. It is told by ‘Aunt Charlotte’ who teaches children about Christ. I typed up the text for you to use to fill in the lapbook components.
Enjoy this lapbook as you learn about our Savior’s greatest gift.
